RE: Invitation to Drop-In event on Tuesday 28 February
Grampian Opportunities wish to invite you to the launch of the first version of a Garioch ‘Accessible Meeting Place Guide’. The guide has been created by GO volunteers with input from the Central Aberdeenshire Access Panel. This project has been part funded through the Garioch Community Planning Partnership.
The aim is to make our community more accessible for people with a variety of disabilities, and the guide includes information to help those with mobility issues find user friendly places to meet.
Grampian Opportunities is a charity, based in Inverurie, which aims to support individuals to have choices and control in their lives and work to promote opportunities for people with disabilities and mental health problems.
In addition to the launch of our guide, we will also have representatives from other projects and services in Grampian Opportunities, with stands showing information about our work towards encouraging and enabling disabled people participate fully in the community. These will include our Short Breaks Project team, the New Explorations Mentoring Service, Our programme of wellbeing events and plans for a Work Club. Guest representation from the Central Aberdeenshire Access Panel & the local MS group.
This event will take place on Tuesday 28th February 2012 at JG Ross meeting room, adjacent to the coffee shop from 10am to 3pm. JG Ross is located at Highclere Business Park, Inverurie AB51 5QW.
