Q. When was Voices for Change formed?
A. April 2009.
Q. How many members does it have?
A. A core group of 6-8 members lead on this work.
Q. Are they staff, volunteers, people from other organisations etc?
A. This working group is supported by other volunteers within GO and has the support of staff when needed.
Q. Why was it formed?
A. For people to have a voice, to be able to speak up and influence how services are developed. To give feedback on what helps people live their lives, to identify what could be better and any issues which may need to be considered. Make sure voice gets to right people.
Q. What was the main reason?
A. For people to make connections and to support each other.
Q. What specific areas/issues have been/are being looked at?
A. Independent Living i.e. transport, accessibility, services etc. (more information in report).
